Broken heart on the wall 

Originally created as part of an urban art project, the Broken Heart unexpectedly became a symbol of hope and healing after the Zagreb earthquake of 2020.

Crochet broken heart or Love Cracks was part of the urban art project Okolo//Around in Zagreb and it was made on a school wall that had a crack on it as a result of time damage. The heart was crocheted and stitched together around the crack as a reminder that we all have our heartbreaks and imperfections, but we can choose to proudly live with them because all those cracks and repairs are integral part of being human.
