My crochet street art was created between 2019 and 2022, emerging during a time of pandemic when indoor spaces closed and outdoor public space became the only place for connection. These works responded directly to uncertainty, isolation, and the need for visible, shared emotion.
Installed in the streets, the pieces were intentionally accessible to everyone as small interruptions in the urban landscape that offered moments of softness, humor, and reflection.
Due to the temporary nature of textile street art, most works no longer exist in their original form. Only Love Cracks remains documented as part of its original context.
love cracks
Street art, Zagreb, 2019
Originally placed within a crack on an exterior wall, Love Cracks became a symbol of hope in Zagreb after the 2020 earthquake and during the pandemic.
When the building was later renovated, the crack was repaired and the original site disappeared. The work now exists as a translated version on canvas, installed inside the school.
melting Heart

Street art, Zagreb, 2021
Created during the height of the pandemic, Melting Heart expresses a sense of pressure coming from all directions.
The artwork reflects emotional exhaustion, vulnerability, and the strain of prolonged uncertainty.

Street art, London, 2022
Made on my return to London after the lockdown.
A small, personal marker of being back in a city that, for me, stands for freedom and creative life.

Street art, Zagreb, 2021
Installed as lockdowns began to ease, Loading… reflects a shared psychological state and the slow return to life.
It captures the feeling of rebuilding energy, optimism, and normality, not all at once, but gradually.
